On Saturday morning, the federal police officers in the public area of the airport, a 69-year-old wanted Herrschinger in the network.

Herrsching

- Federal and state police officers at Munich Airport have always arrested travelers with arrest warrants almost every day and bring them to the criminal prosecution.

In times of corona-related travel restrictions, the airport and airlines are suffering from a sharp decline in passenger numbers, but there are enough clients for the two police authorities in Erdinger Moos.

The fact that the federal officials controlled the man from Herrsching wanted by arrest warrant could have several reasons, said a police spokesman.

On the one hand, the police officers have a trained eye, on the other hand, there are at least 80 percent fewer people in the terminal halls than in November of the previous year.

Quite often, an incorrectly fitting mask is also a decisive factor.

However, the spokesman does not know the exact reason, nor the reason why the 69-year-old was in Erdinger Moos.

It is only known that the Herrschinger apparently had no flight intentions.

And when checking his personal details, it turned out that there are three outstanding arrest warrants against him.

On the one hand, Munich judges sentenced the wanted person to two years and eleven months in prison in March 2016 for forging documents.

Second, more than ten years ago, a judge at the Munich II regional court had sentenced Herrschinger to two years and four months and one and a half years in prison for fraud.

In addition, the Munich judiciary was looking for the man in connection with a criminal case for fraud with an arrest warrant from 2017.

The Herrschinger had apparently gone into hiding.

Instead of reporting to the start of prison, which he should have done himself after a conviction in his case, he apparently owed the Bavarian judiciary 279 days in prison and from the two judgments in 2009 a total of 341 days, the police spokesman calculates.

Therefore, the public prosecutor's offices in Munich I and Munich II had issued a warrant for arrest in May 2018.

That is, he has been wanted since 2018.

These arrest warrants have now been carried out by the federal police in Erdinger Moos.

The Herrschinger was taken directly to the station.

There the arrested got acute health problems, due to which he had to be admitted to a hospital in the airport area.

"There officials from the Munich Airport Police Inspection are now watching that the sick person does not donate," says the police report.

As soon as his state of health allows, the Bavarian state police will accompany him to the nearest correctional facility so that the man can serve his sentence there.
