Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) assumes that the first German citizens can be immunized against the corona virus in vaccination centers this year.
He asked the federal states that the vaccination centers were ready for use by mid-December, the minister said.

The vaccination center for the Ebersberg district should be ready to go by December 15.

The planning has been completed, now the tender for the personnel will be started.
Enough space for further medical units
The vaccination center is to be built in the former savings bank building in Ebersberg, which belongs to the district.
At the moment, the diagnostic center is located there, where people are tested for the coronavirus every day.
There is enough space for another medical unit.
Set up like a doctor's office
Last week, experts from the property and health authorities and an architect examined the building for the new requirements.
The necessary structural measures should be completed by mid-December, says District Administrator Hallmann.
The vaccination center will be set up like a doctor's practice with a reception area, waiting area and doctor's room.
The staff is recruited externally.
A corresponding tender to the service providers Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz (BRK), MKT, Johanniter and others is on the way.
In addition to the vaccination center, there will be a mobile vaccination team that will be deployed in old people's homes, for example.
This then works just like with the mobile scraping team that has been in existence for a long time and is deployed on site to save the mostly elderly people from having to go to the diagnostics center in Ebersberg.
100 vaccinations planned a day
The district office assumes that 100 vaccinations per day will be possible in the Ebersberg center.
It starts with vulnerable groups, i.e. people from risk groups such as nursing staff and people with previous illnesses that the coronavirus could be particularly dangerous.
