Leaving traditional hierarchies and quarterly targets behind and instead relying fully on self-organized teams and meaningful work: This is what the non-profit daycare company strives for.

Söcking

- The headquarters of the daycare provider, who became known for their conductive support for handicapped children, is in Niederpöcking.

The way to the entrepreneurial future began in Söcking.

The children's home "Kind & Natur" is the pioneer of a "comprehensive organizational change" for all 36 progress facilities and the administration, writes spokeswoman Verena Fahrion in a press release.

Tatijana von Quadt, who took over the management from her father Peter at the end of June 2019, is driving change.

The Söckinger Kinderhaus has been the so-called proto facility for this since March.

Fahrion reports: "The first results of the project work are now available and have not only positively surprised the team at the children's home." With the help of the Ouishare network of experts, new rules, processes and working methods have been developed.

“They create a positive environment in which to solve complex problems and promote innovation.” This is the concept of the “Teal company”.

There are managerial functions in such, but no classic commands from above.

The teams solve their problems in a group and sometimes choose unconventional methods.

Decisions now always fall out of the group

The starting shot for the Proto -einrichtung project was fired in March - online during the corona lockdown.

“That was the first challenge and something completely new.

We mastered both well, ”says the children's home manager Fatma Yilmaz.

The team has developed a vision, core goals and a mission statement.

The most important thing: every child should feel accepted in their being in the children's home through trust and security and should be able to develop their individual personality.

The time after the first lockdown was also a challenge.

The composition of the emergency groups changed at least once a week, as did the rules and guidelines.

“As the effort grew, we moved the project meetings to our free time,” says Sabrina Freiwald from the daycare team.

A hurdle that has been overcome because everyone is behind the teal goal.

Without the Proto-Project you would never have found out “how much knowledge and potential there is in our team”.

The decision-making has changed.

Everyone doesn't always have to decide everything, but you always decide from within the group.

Freiwald believes that the process shows how responsible and varied the teaching profession is.

“We are mini-managers,” she emphasizes.

That is why the nanny and educator team wants to promote a strong professional profile and be heard more.

“We are laying the foundations for our future.” An unsolved problem remains for the time being: the question of time.

After all, apart from any organization, the children should not be neglected.
