The district wants to investigate an alternative to the B471 with a study.

For this he asks affected communities to pay.

In Grasbrunn this sparked extensive discussions.

Grasbrunn

- What is approved in other municipalities within a few minutes was discussed in the Grasbrunn municipal council in great detail and contrary: The committee should approve the so-called specifications for the feasibility study for the "B 471 new".

This regulates who pays how much.

The district of Munich is demanding 50,000 euros from each participating municipality for the study.

At the end of 2017, the district decided to prepare a technical feasibility study for the parallel motorway ("B 471 new").

The investigation should show a relief road of the B 471 parallel to the autobahn and improve the eastern connection of the trade fair city.

The communities Aschheim, Feldkirchen, Grasbrunn, Haar, Kirchheim, Putzbrunn, Unterföhring and Vaterstetten are included.

The investigation area lies between the intersection of the B 471 with the A 99 and the Aschheim / Ismaning and Ottobrunn motorway junctions, including the access to the exhibition center from the east.

"Important to sit at the table"

However, the Grasbrunn municipal council saw a need for discussion regarding the financing of the study.

The committee should "decide how much we want to pay for it," said Mayor Klaus Korneder (SPD).

"I think it is important that we sit at the table and not be run over." In addition, there is finally a concrete basis for discussion.

“So far, there have only been a lot of ideas and wishes in the room.” Korneder pleaded for the community to pay the 50,000 euros for the preparation of the study.

But don't be too hasty: "Let's just wait and see what the others pay for."

Should the community refuse to pay, it could be left out of planning.

“Who pays, creates, is the saying.

So if we want to have a say, we also have to pay - but we are so directly affected by the planning that we would probably be asked without paying, ”said Korneder.

FDP: "From my point of view we should postpone this".

SPD parliamentary group colleague Dieter Schuster demanded that the community pay nothing for the study.

“The district has to do that.” Hannes Bussjäger (FW) saw it differently: “At the moment, it's all just a red line from 2018 on the map.

When it becomes concrete, we should be there.

However, "annoyed Bussjäger," we shouldn't already promise exclusive bus lanes and a cycle highway on today's B 471 without any concrete plans. "Sven Blaukat (FDP) recalled the current financial situation, which is quite difficult for all communities. "From my point of view we should postpone this".

Thomas Michalka (BFG) generally rejected a feasibility study.

This investigates "yes, only a new B 471, but not how you can reduce traffic overall or use other means of transport than the car".

Michalka later pleaded for an additional “Umlandbahn”, which runs with alternative means of transport around Munich from the north to the south.

This proposal was rejected with 7:11 votes.

However, the majority accepted that Grasbrunn would contribute up to 50,000 euros to the feasibility study.

The municipality will also investigate additional funding opportunities and insist on the planning of a new motorway connection at Putzbrunn, which may not lead to Kirchenstrasse in Grasbrunn.
