The 2000 high school students who had been reading for two months the fourteen novels which appeared on the first selection of Goncourt delivered a first verdict.
Regional delegates from the fifty-six classes involved in this coveted literary prize announced that six authors were favored by high school students.
The final deliberation and the proclamation of the winner will take place on December 2.

Note that three of the four finalists of the Prix Goncourt were also selected by the high school students, Djaïli Amadou Amal, Hervé Le Tellier and Camille de Toledo.
On the morning of December 2, two days after the proclamation of the Goncourt Prize, a national jury made up of thirteen high school students elected during regional deliberations will debate behind closed doors and remotely.
The winner will be announced at midday.
Traditionally proclaimed in Rennes, the city where it was created more than 30 years ago, the Goncourt for high school students could be announced this year by a press release, said Fnac, co-organizer of the event with the Ministry of National Education.
Last year, it was Karine Tuil's novel,
Human Things
, which had the honors of Goncourt des lycéens, one of the most influential literary prizes.
