The public prosecutor of Vesoul, Emmanuel Dupic, announced Tuesday, November 24 that he will not appeal the sentence of 25 years of criminal imprisonment of Jonathann Daval for the murder of his wife Alexia.
The defendants' lawyers had announced their identical intention on Saturday.
So even if the 10-day deadline for filing an appeal is not yet over, Jonathann Daval's judgment seems final.

" continued the prosecutor, who had nevertheless requested life imprisonment.
The 36-year-old computer scientist was sentenced to 25 years in prison by the Haute-Saône Assize Court on Saturday evening, after a very followed and intense trial.
Alexia Daval's family had expressed their satisfaction with the sentence handed down and also expressed their willingness to turn the page.
29-year-old bank employee Alexia Daval was found dead in a wood in Haute-Saône on October 30, 2017. Her husband Jonathann raised the alarm first, claiming that his wife had never returned from her jogging.
He was arrested in January 2018 after playing the grieving widower for three months.
After multiple reversals, including the implication of his in-laws, he admitted the murder of his wife during a violent marital dispute as well as the cremation of his body.
