U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign shrugged off lawyer Sydney Powell, who has made bizarre and unfounded allegations in the election.
Last week, she announced at a joint news conference with Rudy Giuliani, Trump's attorney, that electronic voting systems sent millions of votes to President-elect Joe Biden through "communist funding."
She further claimed that the voting machines were created by former Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez, who died in 2013.
Overnight, Trump's campaign, which continues to refuse to acknowledge the loss to Biden, issued a statement saying Powell was not part of the president's legal team.
The statement was made by Giuliani and attorney Jenna Ellis, though Trump himself described Powell as one of the "wonderful" members of his legal team just last week.
