The building committee of the municipality of Peiting dealt with several building applications in its last meeting.
While the majority was waved through without any lengthy discussion, the expansion plans for a semi-detached house on Frühlingstrasse caused stomach aches for the councilors.

- As market builder Fabian Kreitl explained, the applicant planned to expand the existing semi-detached house with an extension.
The problem: This should have a flat roof and large window fronts.
"I see it critically, it doesn't fit into the townscape," said Kreitl, who was not alone in this assessment.

He received support from his parliamentary group colleague Andreas Barnsteiner.
“The architect has to do his homework again.” Norbert Merk (CSU) also found that the project was only partially compatible with the surrounding development.
However, he will still agree, on condition that another solution is discussed with the planner.
However, Thomas Elste (Greens) had no reservations.
One should make possible what is possible, he demanded.
In addition, there have already been a number of changes to the development on Frühlingstrasse, which in his opinion does not apply to the reference to the neighborhood.
Christian Lory (Independent) also agreed.
Combining an old building with a modern new one is architecturally exciting.
Michael Deibler (CSU) also signaled his approval when speaking to the planner again.
Kreitl pointed out that there would be no guarantee that something would change as a result.
“If we agree, then it is approved.” That is what the councilors did - against the votes of Seidel and Barnsteiner.
