Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Wednesday) that he intends to visit Bahrain soon, following a conversation with Regent Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa.
"We are both very excited about the fact that we can bring the fruits of peace to our peoples and our countries in a very short time," Netanyahu said at the end of the conversation, in which we discussed strengthening ties between the two countries.
"Therefore, he also invited me to come in the near future for an official visit to Bahrain - I will do so, on your mission, willingly," he continued, noting that the conversation was "very friendly."

Senior officials note that Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi is expected to visit Bahrain on December 4.
According to them, Netanyahu wants to reach Bahrain before Ashkenazi and be the first Israeli official to visit there.
