Among today’s cases, 54 were related to the dancing group. This group has a total of 187 confirmed cases, making it the largest group since the epidemic. Some confirmed cases work in restaurants in Wan Chai and also involve the youth center’s caregiver instructor; There were 10 cases of unknown origin. One of them worked at the Shatin Harbour Roast Goose Seafood Restaurant. A 15-year-old student from North Point Suzhe College also had a preliminary diagnosis.

In addition, more than 50 newly confirmed cases were newly confirmed today. Details are expected to be announced tomorrow.

Director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, Zhang Zhujun, said that of the 80 new cases today, 39 men and 41 women were involved, 32 of which were found in 4 community testing centers, and 11 imported cases.

In terms of dancing groups, apart from involving 21 dancing venues, other locations are also involved, including North District Town Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall in Sheung Shui, and Long Hang Community Centre in Tai Wai. Activities include singing and dancing.



She also mentioned that the 5715th case worked in Wanchai Xingyueju, which would recommend that the restaurant be closed and undergo a major cleaning; the 5730th case was an employee of Union Hospital, and she suspected it was caused by the shared lounge.

Case No. 5774 is the caretaker instructor of the Lutheran New Cui Juvenile Centre of the Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service, who wore a mask during the period.



In the 10 cases of unknown origin, the confirmed persons lived in Shatin, Tai Wai, Tseung Kwan O, North Point, Tuen Mun and Sheung Shui. One of them worked on the floor of the Shatin Harbour Roast Goose Seafood Restaurant, and there were also outsourced employees working at the airport.



She also mentioned that a 15-year-old student at North Point Suzhe College was initially diagnosed and suggested that the school suspend classes for 14 days and arrange for teacher and student testing.



The Lutheran New Chui Youth Center explained the situation on the FB page. The announcement stated that an external tutor was diagnosed today and the unit will be closed from now on for cleaning and disinfection until the 6th of next month (Sunday).

All activities and telephone hotline services will be suspended during the unit closure period.
