The inquiry into the cause of death by HKUST student Zhou Zi today (24) entered the 7th day. The head of the fire brigade Li Weijie confessed that he received a fire alarm early in the morning and that the fire truck encountered a roadblock on its way to the parking lot and had to get off and move away.

During his inspection of the parking lot, a man ran up and shouted, "Someone fell off the building!" and pointed to the lower floor of the second floor.

The deceased Zhou Zile (22 years old) was found lying on the platform on the second floor of the Suntech Parking Lot A in the early morning of November 4 last year during the conflict between the police and the people. He died on the 8th of the same month.

Arriving at the scene after receiving an automatic fire alarm

The head of the fire brigade Li Weijie confessed that on November 4 last year, during his duty at the Baolin Fire Station, he received a notification from the console at 0:43 in the morning, stating that the automatic fire alarm of No. 1 fire alarm was ringing in the parking lot of the accident.

He immediately boarded the rescue vehicle with four members, drove out of the fire station, turned right, and went to the parking lot via Baokang Road.

No response to shouting to the injured at close range

Li followed each other and came to the back of a parking space, where there was a low wall and a pedestrian path outside.

Li used a flashlight to shine and touch the head of the injured person. No head trauma was found, "but there were blood stains on the face, mouth, and nose." The cervical spine was not abnormal.

Cut open the strap bag on the injured person, check that there is no foreign body on the back, turn the injured person over to let him lie flat and help breathing.

After he turned over, the injured man moved his hands and feet, but did not speak.

Li tried to yell in his ear again to no avail.
