So far, Denise Schindler was only an Olchinger by choice.

Now the cycling world champion has finally arrived in Amperstadt and is fully naturalized.

When she moved, she told the daily newspaper why she liked it so much.

Olching

- The three-time World Cup winner, who was born in Chemnitz, left the apartment she rented four and a half years ago in the east of Olching and bought a 200 square meter semi-detached house in the western part of the city.

A few days after her 35th birthday, it was time to move to “our first common property”.

The multiple Paralympic medalist (battle name “Killer Bee”) sent her better half to the office according to the motto “Moving is a woman's business”.

Because: “My husband is not exactly a born craftsman.” Instead of husband Sascha, grandma Barbara (75) helped pack the 110 moving boxes and provided the five men of a Jesenwang transport company with a hearty snack.

The squad was responsible for transporting the furniture and the high-tech racing machines carefully guarded by Schindler.

In addition to a bicycle workshop and garage, the new home has a wellness area and its own training rooms in the basement.

Fans and spouses of the gods were able to follow the rapid progress of the move live via Instagram.

Oliver Pocher was also involved.

Schindler was the maid of honor at the star comedian's wedding, her husband Sascha Rinne (46) is his manager and constantly commutes to the Pocher office in Cologne by train.

Which is why the couple, who have been married for a year, also flirted with moving to the ICE-linked Pasing.

Why was Olching ultimately preferred?

“It's just nice to live here,” explains Denise Schindler, who had a tram accident in Chemnitz as a child and has since lived and played sports with a lower leg prosthesis.

"I also have the best training conditions on the many bike paths around Olching."

The next sporting goal of the 35-year-olds is the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro in March.

But because of the Corona crisis, Schindler “hardly” believes in a scheduled event.

Nevertheless, she will soon be leaving her new domicile in Olching for a few weeks to set up a training camp "somewhere in the south, where there is currently no pandemic".

Because the Paralympics in Tokyo, which have been postponed by a year, are still underlined in the racing calendar in August.

After silver and bronze in London (2012) and Rio (2016), the Olchinger is still missing gold in her Olympic medal collection.
