An alcoholic 21-year-old man slashed the neck of another 22-year-old last night. The victim's life is not in danger.

A knife, alcohol, a fight: the cocktail was explosive.

On arrival, a 21-year-old young man living in a hostel welcoming migrants was slashed in the neck by another resident during that night from Monday to Tuesday in Achères.

At around midnight, a witness worried about seeing two men fighting in the Adoma home warned the police.

A police patrol quickly arrived on the scene and discovered the victim suffering from a two-inch cut in the neck.

The young man, who will quickly be taken care of by the firefighters, explains that he has just received a blow from a blade from a neighbor.

No trace of the weapon

Officials then try to get hold of the suspect in the establishment, but he fled.

Meanwhile, rescuers drive the victim to Poissy hospital to be stitched up from his large throat wound.

But, fortunately, his days are not in danger.

The police, them, conduct searches around the hearth and they spot the aggressor rue de Seine.

This 22-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, was arrested in the street, not far from the building.

The officials search him and scrutinize the area, but they fail to get their hands on the knife.

Investigators also note traces and clues in the victim's room.

The suspect was taken to the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine police station, responsible for carrying out the rest of this open investigation for attempted murder.

Once he has been released from the sobering-up cell where he was placed, he will be questioned by an urban security investigator during the day.

The prosecution will decide in the wake of the follow-up to this story.
