Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen
- The rush to donate blood in June in Geretsried was enormous.
The dispensers stood in a queue up to the street.
To avoid long waiting times, the blood donation service of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) offers online appointment reservations.
"We are currently testing how people accept this and how much time is required," reports Patric Nohe, press spokesman for the blood donation service in Bavaria, when asked by our newspaper.
But the first experiences were definitely positive.
The responsible area officer Florian Abt can confirm this: At the October meeting in Bad Tölz, the volunteers counted a total of 127 donors between 3.30 and 8 p.m.
110 of them had previously registered via the Internet.
"Appointments have been booked right up to the end," says Abt. "Our goal is to keep it going."
If you want to register online for a specific appointment, you can go to the blood donation service's homepage and choose a time when you want to come.
The number of available spaces is shown in brackets after the time.
The appointments are assigned every quarter of an hour.
The challenge is to give donors who come by spontaneously enough time and space, adds press spokesman Nohe.
Because that is difficult to assess beforehand.
The next blood donation appointment in the district is on Friday, November 27, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Protestant community center at Schützenweg 10 in Bad Tölz - with online reservation
A few times are already booked out.
In Wolfratshausen (Hammerschmiedschule), volunteers can have their blood drawn on November 30th and December 1st.
There is no internet reservation option for these dates.
Donors can register on the internet for the dates on December 10th in Geretsried (Isardammschule) and on December 18th in Bad Tölz (Protestant community center).
