Within the celebrations of the Syrian Cultural Days, the Ministry of Culture and Education honored the “Directorate of School Theater and Artistic Activities” today, the winners of the World Theater Day competition “2020” of the Ministry of Education, at the Al-Assad House for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
The celebration included a theatrical presentation about a dramatic vision of the message of the World Theater Day of the Pakistani theater writer Shahid Nadim, in addition to "Photomontage" for the competition shows in its first version last year, and a short video of the shows participating in the competition this year from various provinces, and the theatrical show "The arrest of Tarif Al-Hadith" won the first place “The School Theater Department, Daraa Education Directorate, while the second place award was awarded to specialists for the theatrical performance“ The Canned Man ”by the School Theater Department in Sweida. As for the best actress award, it was shared equally between student Elia Awad for her role in the play“ The arrest of Tarif Al-Atheer ”and student Tasnim Hakima for her role The play “The Canned Man” while the best actor award went equally between the student Alotin Awad for his role in the play “The Arrest of Tarif Al-Atheist” and student Sami Hatem for his role in the play The Canned Man.
The special jury prize went to student Ali Daoud for his role in the play “Hustle in Kyota” in the school theater district in Hama.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mashouha, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa.
