This is what Emmanuel Macron announced this Tuesday evening during a televised address.

Shortly after the president's speech, the mayor of Paris announced the possibility for traders to temporarily create free outdoor displays during the
“vital”
period
of the end of year celebrations.

"In order to promote compliance with health measures of physical distancing and to support them economically, the City of Paris will allow them to create open-air stands from December 1 to January 3"
, in parking spaces or sidewalks, if the The location allows it, said the City, confirming information from the Parisian.
The principle will be the same as for the ephemeral extensions of terraces that the town hall authorized after the first containment in the spring, each merchant can request it by a simple declaration.
