The inquiry into the cause of death by HKUST student Zhou Zi was on the 8th today (25th). Another fire brigade head, Deng Zhiheng, gave a testimony. The deceased Zhou Zile (22 years old) was found lying on the platform on the second floor of the Suntech Parking Lot A in the early morning of November 4 last year during the conflict between the police and the people. He died on the 8th of the same month.
Deng Zhiheng, head of the fire brigade, confessed that when he received a fire alarm that night and went to the parking lot that caused the accident, his colleagues gathered in the underground fire control room and inspected different floors of the parking lot in batches.
The fire alarm clock on the third floor was broken
He and a colleague took a central elevator to the third floor and inspected separately.
He walked a few steps to the right, and saw that the fire hose at the end of the road was pulled out more than ten meters, and the fire alarm switch beside it was broken.
However, there were no signs of fire or burning at the scene. Deng believed that the person who broke the fire alarm and pulled the throat was not for the purpose of fighting the fire.
He added that when he saw an ordinary citizen passing by, he smelled a not too strong pungent smell and felt a little dry eyes, probably the smell of tear gas.

See another team on the second floor to rescue the injured
Deng walked along the road to the upper floor of the second floor, and when his colleague appeared at the other end, he signaled to inspect the lower floor of the second floor together.

Deng then saw Li and others on the outer pavement on the lower floor of the second floor rescuing the wounded who were lying on the ground. There were citizens nearby.

A jury asked Deng if, based on his experience, someone would use a fire hose to extinguish the tear gas.
The magistrate heard this and reminded that this is only speculation, and that the questioning must be based on evidence.
Deng also pointed out that he was not sure whether there were water stains near the fire hose that was pulled out, nor did he remember the direction in which the hose was pulled out.
The inquiry continued.
