Jacques Secrétin, the most successful table tennis player in France, who helped popularize his sport thanks to his talent and his famous duet with Vincent Purkart, has died at 71, the Table Tennis Federation announced on Wednesday ( FFTT).
"The FFTT is extremely sad to announce the disappearance of Jacques Secrétin", wrote the Federation on its Facebook page, welcoming the "incredible record" of the man who won a European champion title in 1976 in singles. and 17 national titles, and in mixed doubles a world title in 1977.
