However, the Audit Commission’s statistics on the amount of marine garbage collected from 2012 to 2019 found that the contractor’s municipal solid waste disposal volume recorded by the Environmental Protection Agency was approximately 25,000 metric tons, but the amount recorded by the Marine Department is the marine garbage provided by the contractor. The collection volume is more than 125,000 metric tons, a full 100,000 metric tons more.

It is worth noting that in addition to marine garbage, the amount recorded by the Environmental Protection Agency may also include other municipal solid waste.

The Audit Commission calculated the amount of marine garbage collected from 2012 to 2019 and found that the contractor's municipal solid waste disposal volume recorded by the Environmental Protection Agency was about 25,000 metric tons, but the amount recorded by the Marine Department is the amount of marine garbage collected by the contractor.
