A man crashed into the gate of the German Chancellery in Berlin with a car painted with slogans on Wednesday morning, November 25, before being arrested, police said.

The car, a dark green Volkswagen that did not cause damage to the site, in the heart of the German capital, had inscriptions in white paint on its body calling for an end to the "
policy of globalization
" and proclaiming "
You. are damn killers of children and old people
”.
The arrested driver was heard at the end of the morning by the police.
“
The car is in front of the gate.
We are trying to find out if he knowingly directed her there
, ”a police spokeswoman told AFP, adding that he was not sure there was any damage.
The car itself had little damage.
It was partly stopped by blocks intended to prevent any ram car attack on the chancellery, occupied for 15 years by Angela Merkel.
German media reported that the same vehicle was used in 2014 to attempt to enter the Chancellery's security perimeter to protest against global warming.
