A case of love for the Arabic letter and color translated by plastic artist Dr. Mohamed Ghannoum in his paintings, so his brush formed a special case of creativity that restored the shine of the Arabic letter and gained him an additional aesthetic by combining it with color.

In honor of Gnome's experience, the Cultural Center in Aburmana hosted an event called “Sufi El Harf” that included big names in the Syrian plastic scene, which brought together 45 artists between a sculptor and a graphic photographer with works that celebrated the artist.

The plastic artist, Rabab Ahmed, the head of Thaqafi Aburmana, pointed out that what distinguishes the exhibition is the participation of artists from the generation of pioneers, in addition to the distinction of Gnome for its character, universality and interest in the magic of Arabic calligraphy, indicating that the title of the event reflects the state of the unique mystical beauty in Gnome's works.

Mohieddin Al-Homsi, plastic artist and organizer of the exhibition, explained that honoring great figures is our duty, as he participated in a painting of acrylic colors that expresses citizenship, poverty, wealth and life in all its meaning through calligraphy and color.

Plastic artist Khaled Al-Hajjar considered that participating in the exhibition is a great honor for him as an artist because it includes a large number of plastic art professors, explaining that he participated in a painting he called “Eye that does not sleep,” meaning the eye of the soul by embodying it with a vase bearing roses that bold and boldly express the color integration.

In his role, plastic artist Ali Al-Kafri believed that participation is a duty for artists to support each other, in addition to the importance of honoring the creator's career, especially since Gnome is at the forefront of creators.

The exhibition was followed by a symposium that included the journalist Mukhlis Al Warar and the plastic artist Nashat Al Zoubi, who discussed the presence of the word and the phenomenon of color in Gnome's pioneering experience and its belonging to the space of Arab aesthetics.

It is noteworthy that Muhammad Ghanoum was born in Damascus in 1949, a graduate of the Interior Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus. He holds a Ph.D. in Art Sciences from the University of Tashkent. He held the position of membership in the Executive Office of the Fine Arts Syndicate and the first director of art education and the presidency of the Society of Art Friends and he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture He is the recipient of many prizes, including the awards for the Arabic Calligraphy Festival in Tehran and Calligraphy and Music in France.
