International classical compositions presented by children and youngsters of the Solhi Al-Wadi Institute orchestra, led by Maestro Andre Maalouli, on the stage of the Al-Hamra Theater in Damascus, during a concert.

The ceremony, which was held within the Days of Syrian Culture, began with the playing of violins, cellos and wind instruments by the works of the Austrian author Mozart from the opening piece of Figaro and the introduction to Jupiter's symphony, in addition to international pieces that were performed in a distinctive manner close to the originals, including the pieces Havana and Marsh Raddsky.

Maestro Maalouli explained to SANA that about 70 students under 15 years of age presented today the result of months of strenuous individual and group exercises to accomplish this work, pointing out that the orchestra is a very important step for developing group play and teamwork, which reflects on their lives in the home and society and helps them develop their individual instruments.

Maalouli stated that holding this event despite the conditions that our country is going through from a terrorist war and the Corona pandemic constitutes a great challenge, meaning hope for what children offer, who mean the continuation of life and a bright tomorrow.

Abeer Al-Jabi, activities officer at the Solhi Al-Wadi Institute, indicated that the students were brilliant despite the rehearsals and exercises that took place at the time of studying at the school.
