With all due respect to the contemptors of liberal globalization and the consumer society, whether they come from the extreme left, from green fundamentalism or from the sovereignist right, it is by no means globalization that was at the origin of the Covid-19 but traditional Chinese markets sheltered by a communist regime.

What is more, it is indeed thanks to this globalization, however hated by a majority of French people that we are going to emerge from the crisis.
To avoid a foreseeable misunderstanding as soon as one ventures onto this now radioactive subject, I would recall that I have analyzed at length in my books the faults of what I have called the "second globalization", the one that is today carried by the net and which is no longer controlled by anyone.
The threats it poses to small nations are indisputable and I will be the last to deny them: loss of control over the course of the world, economic regulation difficult, if not impossible, loss of the meaning of history
