In New Zealand, nearly 100 whales died stranded in the Chatham Islands, the Department of Conservation reported.
This Sunday, 97 pilot whales died, which are small bulky-faced toothed whales that usually live in groups, as well as three dolphins.
When the authorities arrived, there were 26 live whales, but they were very weak and were euthanized due to the maritime conditions.
This Monday, two other whales were stranded and were also euthanized, the Department of Conservation reported.
