Salamiya Millhal in Hama governorate today received the first batch of industrial seeds resulting from ginning operations of the beloved cottons received during the current season.
The director of the ginroom, Eng. Basil Al-Hamwi, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the first batch of industrial cotton seeds was shipped to the General Company for Oils in Aleppo with a quantity of 45 tons of the current total quantity of 170 tons, provided that the second batch will be shipped tomorrow, indicating that a contract has been made to supply the entire quantity of seeds. Al-Hamwi pointed out that the ginning process received 792 tons of beloved cotton from the farmers of Raqqa Governorate, of which 330 tons resulted in the amount of 107 tons of ginning cotton and 170 tons of industrial seeds, indicating that the ginning process is currently carried out through one shift and with a capacity not exceeding 20 tons per day, as a result of not Electric current stability.
Salmiya Mahlj last season received 4,128 tons of cotton beloved by farmers in the eastern provinces.
