The Higher Education Council has determined the number of new students in open education programs within public universities for the academic year 2020-2021 and the required certificates and their percentages according to the absorptive capacity of each program.

According to the decision of the Council, of which SANA received a copy today, 800 students will be admitted to the Legal Studies Program at the University of Damascus and 400 students for each of the Media and Translation programs in English Language and International and Diplomacy Studies and the Diploma in Educational Qualification at Damascus University and 640 students for each of the Accounting and Small and Medium Enterprises Management programs and 560 students. In the kindergarten program.

And at the University of Aleppo, a thousand students will be admitted to the legal studies program, 800 students in the French translation program, 1,200 translation into English, administration and accounting in small and medium enterprises, 600 students and 300 students for each of the financial, banking and accounting studies programs.

And at Tishreen University, 1,200 students will be accepted in legal studies, 800 students in translation, translation in French, 500 students, business administration with 1,500 students, insurance and banking, 800 students, accounting for 700, management of medium and small enterprises, 1,500 students, kindergartens, 600 students, and a diploma in educational qualification for 400 students.

At Al-Baath University, 500 students will be accepted in legal studies, 600 students for each of the English language translation and French translation programs, 400 students for marketing, e-commerce and small and medium enterprises management, 500 students for tourist guidance, 600 students for kindergartens, and 200 students for a diploma in educational qualification.

At the University of the Euphrates, a thousand students will be accepted in each of the legal studies programs in the governorates of Deir Ezzor and Hasaka, the program of managing small and medium enterprises in Deir Ezzor, and financial and banking studies in Hasaka.

At the University of Hama, 250 students will be accepted in e-marketing, 300 students in kindergartens, and 200 students in educational qualification diplomas.

At Tartous University, 500 students will be accepted in each of the kindergarten and accounting programs and 600 students in the MSE program.

The Council authorized universities to increase the number of admissions according to the available capabilities and absorptive capacity by no more than 25 percent, and vacancies are filled when the percentage specified for admission to one of the secondary branches of the other branches is lacking and in all the trade-offs according to the percentages mentioned in this decision.
