By forcing restaurants, bars, gyms and nightclubs to remain closed at least until January 20, the government was forced to beef up its aid system.
Left behind in the country's gradual deconfinement, these professionals are on edge, on the verge of bankruptcy for some.
To allow them to keep two months without activity, the president announced Tuesday evening that their companies could receive 20% of the turnover of 2019.
This non-retroactive aid, coming from a support fund created at the start of the crisis, will become effective as of December 1 and until the end of the administrative closure.
All establishments, regardless of their size, may be eligible.
They will have the possibility of choosing between tax-free assistance, already in place, of up to 10,000 euros per month, and the new compensation, equivalent to 20% of the monthly turnover achieved in the same period of 2019.
