Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he had granted a pardon to his former National Security adviser Michael Flynn, who had pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about his contacts with a Russian diplomat.

," tweeted the American president, who is due to leave the White House on January 20.
