Enrico Corongiu (SPD), town hall chief in Mittenwald, finally wants a time management system that makes it possible to plan the tourist Christmas season.
"We already have the first cancellations from guests who wanted to come to the Isar Valley in the first weeks of December." This is due to the uncertain situation.
Nobody knows whether the hotel and catering industry will be allowed to open until December 20 and how the incidence value will affect public life in the places in the district.
Corongiu can well imagine loosening the restrictions a little on the basis of the incidence value, only implementing measures from a value of 100 instead of 50.
"Here you need a sense of proportion and proportionality." Then restaurants, hotels and other tourist businesses could open in the pre-Christmas season.
Because most of them have invested a lot in a hygiene concept and implemented measures consistently.

It is absolutely incomprehensible to them that the mountain railways of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn are not allowed to operate in the Advent season due to the corona, even after the current partial lockdown - maybe even during the Christmas holidays.
There is a lack of sensitivity on the part of politics.
