The shopping trend comes from the USA and is also becoming more and more popular in Germany: The "Black Week", during which many goods are offered at reduced prices.

The highlight of the discount battle is "Black Friday" on Friday.

There are also some dealers in the southern district.

  • Friday is the american discount day "Black Friday"

  • Business people in the Tölzer Land also attract visitors with reduced offers

  • That worked well over the past few years

Bad Tölz / Lenggries - Friday is the day of all days for bargain hunters: “Black Friday” is just around the corner.

On this day there should be the best offers and the highest discounts, the online advertising campaigns promise.

In Tölz, too, many business people join in.

The fact that Sunday is also open for shopping this week also plays into their cards.

Sabina Mikolasch is the owner of the Tölzer boutique “Linen and more”.

This year it is taking part in “Black Week” for the fifth time and is offering a lot at reduced prices.

“I have a percentage all week,” she says.

"I come from Munich and think this business idea is good, we are selling a lot these days and customers are happy about the bargains." There are big discounts until Sunday.

“I'm already sending my articles to Hamburg,” reports Mikolasch.

A good advertising concept is important for this.

The businesswoman advertises nightwear and lingerie not only in the shop window, but also on Facebook.

The owner of the women's, men's and children's clothing store “Blue Flamingo” in Marktstrasse is also following the trend.

No wonder, after all, Renée Obermeir originally comes from America himself.

"In general, but especially in times of Corona, such actions are very helpful for us business people," says Obermeir.

In the past few years she has noticed both in her shops and online that “people are very happy to accept the offers”.

In her shop she has renamed “Black Week” to “Blue Week”.

The offer week is a good opportunity for Obermeir to “catch a little something that was lost through the closure in the first lockdown”.

Their local discounts are higher than the online bargains, says Obermeir.

“I think that's important with a view to maintaining the local shops.” There are also cheap clothing offers in the Tölz branches of “Hunkemöller” and S.Oliver.

The Wiedemann perfumery also offers discounts on all products.

“This is the third time we're taking part.

So far it has always gone very well, ”says owner Peter Wiedermann.

He very much hopes that Sunday shopping will also take place and that no tightening of the corona measures will fall victim.

To equalize customer traffic: discounts while stocks last

Manuela and Rainer Schlosser are the managing directors of “Sport Sepp” in Lenggries.

They offer discounts on their sports range.

"We have been participating this week for about five years," says Rainer Schlosser.

"So far it has always been very good."

Due to the current pandemic situation, there is a small change this year.

“We have decided that we will no longer limit the time of the offers to this one week, but that the discounts will be available while stocks last,” explains Schlosser.

He hopes that this will help to equalize the number of customers in the store, because: "We cannot advertise with special offers and then customers cannot enter the store because there are too many in there."

Low prices partly until December 1st

There are low prices in Tölz until December 1st for electrical items.

In “Expert”, “Black Week” “has been part of the pre-Christmas business for years,” explains managing director Hans Fanea.

Two catalogs were specially designed for this.

“In marketing terms, it's now the same as Christmas,” he says.

You can get a discount of up to 60 percent on various products.

"You can tell that customers are waiting for the offers and are increasingly coming to the store on these days."
