A thirsty show that attracts tens of thousands of participants has become an online event this year.

The "Thirsty" festival is considered one of the highlights of the year when it comes to the modern Hassidic world.

In a standard year, tens of thousands come to the fair at the nation's buildings in Jerusalem, where the best singers in the religious world also perform, buy books and have fun.

Last year a record was broken - more than sixty thousand participants came from all over the country - women and men, secular, ultra-Orthodox, Hasidic and traditional.

But the Corona has forfeited the cards and this year the event will be broadcast live on Saturday night and will be sent, December 5th.

As every year, well-known singers will participate - Amir Dadon, Idan Amadi, Natan Goshen, Avraham Fried, Shuli Rand, Rami Kleinstein, Revivo's project, Ariel Zilber, Udi Davidi and Naor Carmi and the band.

Thirsty project

But the organizers of the event had a problem - how to create the sense of connection that characterizes the festival.

So they found an amusing solution - a production of "Thirsty Dance" that viewers in Israel and around the world will learn, so that everyone can dance it at home.

The initiative of the show's director, Yaakov Asraf, created skin and tendons led by Rafi Natan, known as DJ Rafi.

"When I went to direct Thirst this year, I made a decision - to take the reality of the corona and make it turn from 'retrospective' to 'to begin with'. I wanted to fly with this show the farthest," says Asraf.

But he said the problem was that he had a hard time producing the energy of a show at home, until an idea came to his mind: "Invent a dance and everyone will practice it and dance it from home. I turned to a dear and talented friend, Rafi Natan, and we built a crazy dance that is already driving the network crazy. "Learn the movements and dance at the same time with tens of thousands of spectators in homes from Metula to Eilat, from Moscow to Buenos Aires."

"When I realized that this was a thirsty project, I was really excited," notes Rafi Natan.

"I have known Thirst and have been following this project for several years and taking part in it is a dream come true. I said I was inside of course. And the result was an explosion. The goal was to teach a dance that would connect everyone while they were at home watching Thirst Broadcast. Thirsty, especially in such a challenging year. "
