Vice President Cristina Kirchner fired Diego Maradona on Thursday at the idol's wake at the Casa Rosada. 

The former president entered the premises minutes after 2:30 p.m., greeted Claudia Villafañe, her daughters Dalma and Gianinna with a hug and

placed a rosary on top of the footballer's coffin

, on a Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata shirt, the last club that Maradona directed.

CFK also sent a floral wreath that was placed near the drawer.

A few hours before, when the news of the death of the Ten was known, Cristina had fired him with a message on Twitter.
