Philosophy and politics occupied the thought of the researcher, Dr. Muhammad Khalaf al-Jarrad, and he became a well-known science in this field, and many books were issued to him, so he deserved to be among the generous names within the days of Syrian culture that are held under the title of My Culture, My Identity.
Dr. Al-Jarrad was born in the province of Hasakah in 1950 and obtained a high school diploma in Damascus in 1970, after which he obtained a degree in Philosophical and Social Studies from the Faculty of Arts in 1975, and in the same year he was sent to the former Soviet Union, where he obtained a master's and doctorate degrees in philosophy.
Al-Jarrad worked as a teacher at the Teacher Preparation Institute in Al-Hasakah and as an educational trainer in the Directorate of Education there, then a full-time researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies and Research at the University of Damascus. Between the years 1995 and 2020, he published numerous books, authored and translated, on the publishing houses of Syria, the Ministry of Culture, the Syrian General Organization for Book, and on Arab institutions, including art, ideology, and Syriac culture in the Middle Ages, Islam and Christianity, and the dimensions of American targeting.
Dr. Khalaf al-Jarrad is a member of the Federation of Arab Writers and Journalists, the Syrian Association of Graduates of Russian Educational Institutions and the Arab Society for Political Science and has participated in scientific, intellectual and political seminars and forums, scientific and cultural arbitration committees, and he is a member of the editorial board of the magazines of political thought and knowledge.
