Faced with the Covid, La Scala in Milan draws a big virtual show to "see the stars again"

It will be an evening of hope and determination during which La Scala and La Rai (Italian public television) will bring Italians into the homes (but also in France and Germany thanks to an agreement with the channel Arte, and in many other countries) the values ​​of opera and dance through their most prestigious performers.

Besides Alagna and Domingo, will be present among others the singers Ildar Abdrazakov, Carlos Álvarez, Piotr Beczala, Benjamin Bernheim, Eleonora Buratto, Marianne Crebassa, Rosa Feola, Francesco Meli or Camilla Nylund, among others.

The ballet part, directed by Michele Gamba, will take part the star dancer Roberto Bolle, but also the first dancers Martina Arduino, Claudio Coviello, Nicoletta Manni and Virna Toppi.

On the program for this exceptional evening: extracts from operas by Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Jules Masenet, Richard Wagner and Gioachino Rossini, as well as ballet music by Tchaikovsky, Davide Dileo, Erik Satie and Giuseppe Verdi.

The choreographies are by Manuel Legris, Rudolf Nureyev and Massimiliano Volpini.

Opera arias and dance performances will be complemented by texts read by actors.

For this exceptional performance without an audience, the orchestra will take place in the middle of the floor, while the artists will not only be on the main stage but also scattered throughout the other spaces of the famous theater and in its workshops.
