Convoy Global (1019), which is in a battle for the board of directors, will hold a special general meeting of shareholders at Mutual Trust Building in Wanchai at 6 pm today to remove the current board members except for Li Jinyi and Lin Guochang, and appoint the second largest shareholder, Kaisa Group (1638) Co-President Guo Xiaoqun, and his nominated former MTR (0066) Chairman Ma Shiheng and Legislative Council Member Shi Liqian joined the board of directors to vote.
The company issued an announcement stating that on November 18, it had sent to shareholders the special shareholders' meeting on preventive measures against new coronary pneumonia to supplement the company and implement priority access rights.
The company pointed out that the Investor Service Center Tricor had received 42 applications, 18 of which were invalid due to repeated applications or the applicant was not listed as a registered shareholder or the registered shareholder nominee register.
Of the remaining 24 applications, 12 were identified as Guo Xiaoqun and his alleged nominee, and 3 were identified as Chen Peixiong and his alleged nominee.
According to the supplementary announcement of the special general meeting on the 18th of this month, all shareholders officially registered to attend the meeting are allowed to attend.
The company also pointed out that Chen Pei-hsiung published the latest advertisements in local newspapers and online media, urging shareholders who could not attend the Mutual Trust Building in person to go to the Empire Hall 1 and 2 on the 1st floor of the Empire Hotel in Wan Chai at the same time.
The company pointed out that the Empire Hotel venue is not the venue of the extraordinary general meeting. For shareholders who only attend the venue of Mutual Trust Building, their appointed representatives and authorized representatives will be included in the quorum and eligible to vote at the extraordinary general meeting.
