Pakistan today announced the closure of schools and the postponement of exams in an effort to reduce new infections with the Coronavirus and the increase in the number of cases undergoing hospitalization for the Corona virus.
Reuters quoted officials as saying that the decision to close schools was taken based on the increase in disease rates in Pakistan.
Pakistan recorded 3,306 new cases of corona yesterday and 40 deaths due to the epidemic, and officials said 2,485 were hospitalized for treatment.
The total number of Coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 386,198 so far, and 7,843 deaths.
Pakistan closed educational institutions between March and September to combat the spread of the virus, and television and radio channels were used to broadcast lessons to public school students at their homes.
