Munich / Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- A 66-year-old man from the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district injured a police officer during an identity check in Munich.

The reason for the check: The 66-year-old was walking in the Munich pedestrian zone without mouth and nose protection - however, due to the current infection protection regulations, wearing it is mandatory there.

The 66-year-old received two ads

The officers approached the man at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday and asked him to identify himself.

The 66-year-old vehemently refused to do so.

"During the subsequent search for the identification documents, he resisted," reports a police spokesman.

Finally, the officers took him to an office, only there the man's identity could be determined.

One policeman was slightly injured during the "acts of resistance" by the mask refuser.

The 66-year-old was reported for resisting law enforcement officials and violating infection control regulations.

The criminal police in Munich will conduct the further investigations.
