The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Idlib continues the sale of sifted and sterilized wheat and barley seeds to farmers in order to implement the agricultural plan for the current season.
The Director of the Foundation's branch, Eng. Abdul Aziz Bakdash, explained to the SANA correspondent today that 750 tons of wheat seeds and 1,000 tons of barley seeds have been sold to the governorate farmers, indicating that sales of wheat seeds are continuing with good quantities of them at the branch while work is being done to secure Additional quantities of barley seeds.
Bekdash pointed out that the sales of specified quantities of seeds for agricultural lands are carried out under the agricultural regulation license, indicating that the selling price of one kilogram of wheat seeds is 450 pounds and barley 200 pounds.
The Idlib Agriculture Directorate's plan for the current season includes planting about 200,000 dunums of wheat.
