In the midst of the investigation into the death of Diego Armando Maradona, new data were released this Thursday regarding the exact time of death and

the words of the nurse

who cared for him in his last morning.

According to judicial sources confirmed to

Clarín

, the nurse, named Ricardo (his last name did not transcend), declared that his shift ended at 6.30 on Wednesday and that, before leaving, he

checked Ten and had vital signs.

It was the only relevant testimonial statement left pending from the people who were with Maradona in the last hours of his life.

Before the prosecutor Laura Capra, from the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of Benavídez, explained that the former captain of the Argentine National Team had rested all night and that at 6.30, a few minutes before being relieved by the morning nurse , called Gisela, entered the room and came over to check on the patient, who at that moment was "breathing."

From there and until 12 noon, the nurse had to accompany the world star, who had already given testimony and pointed out that the last person who had seen Maradona alive was

his nephew Johny Espósito, on Tuesday at 23 .

Thus, the new data contradict those first versions that indicated that 12 hours had passed without anyone assisting who was the coach of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata.

It was also learned that, when the forensics arrived at 4:00 p.m., the body temperature indicated that

 "death was around 12 o'clock

,

"

which was later confirmed by autopsy.

In the testimony that the morning nurse had given at the Prosecutor's Office on the same day as Ten's death, it was detailed that his nephew, his assistant (Maxi Pomargo), an employee hired for his physical security and a woman were also in the house. cook.

Later, at 11:30 am, his psychologist Carlos Díaz and his psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov arrived, who entered the room of the house in the San Andrés neighborhood, but they

never managed to get Diego to answer

their words.

According to the report of the San Isidro prosecutor's office in charge of John Broyad, the nephew and the assistant were called to try to wake him up but not observing, in principle, the existence of vital signs, the nurse and the psychiatrist began with the

resuscitation maneuvers .

Immediately afterwards, the presence of ambulances from different providers was requested and a surgeon from the neighborhood also approached, who continued with the CPR maneuvers.

Then, the ambulances arrived in charge of the clinical doctor of the medical provider.

The maneuvers were continued and adrenaline and atropine ampoules were applied, finally confirming the death.

Throughout the night of this Thursday, the investigators will

interweave testimonies with

calls to 911, cameras

and others to refine the sequence of what happened, while waiting to obtain the results for this Friday.

The urine and blood extracted in Maradona's autopsy will begin to be analyzed for the toxicological tests ordered by the Justice, judicial sources reported.

The samples will be sent to the laboratories of the Scientific Police of San Martín, whose experts will be in charge of detecting if the former soccer player had traces of alcohol or some type of drug, drug or toxic substance.

After being discharged from the Olivos Clinic, Maradona continued to recover from an operation on his head in a house in San Andrés, an exclusive and developing private neighborhood, located between Nordelta and the Villanueva complex, on the border between Tigre and Escobar.

The house was adapted so that he could continue his treatment after the

operation for a

chronic

subdural

hematoma

on the left side of his head.

The autopsy revealed that he died as a result of "acute lung edema secondary to exacerbated chronic heart failure" and discovered in his heart a "dilated cardiomyopathy", a pathology that produces an enlargement of the heart chambers and that has multiple causes.
