Donald Trump (in October): Unsuccessful with legal action

So far, Donald Trump has fought against the election defeat mainly through legal means.
But after his lawyers went bankrupt in a row, the resistance of the still-president seems to be flagging.
He has still not officially admitted defeat.
But his latest statements are at least in that direction.
Trump said in the White House on Thursday (local time) that he will vacate the White House when Joe Biden has been appointed 46th President by the so-called Electoral College.
At the same time, however, Trump repeated his claims about alleged election fraud.
"It's far from over," said the 45th President of the United States.
It was a rigged election.
In truth, Biden is the winner, the ongoing protests from the White House do nothing to change that.
The electorate of the individual states ultimately formally determine the president, Biden has far more than the 270 votes necessary for victory: 306 to Trump's 232.
The new president is sworn in on January 20th
The process: The electorate will vote in their states from December 14th.
On December 23, the certified votes must be in Washington, including with Vice President Mike Pence in his role as Senate President.
On January 6th, Congress will meet for a joint session to count the votes.
Pence will then announce a winner.
Biden is to be sworn in on January 20th in Washington.
