After investigation, officers of the Kwai Tsing Police District Anti-Triad Action Team laid an ambush at the playground at about 2 pm yesterday (26th) and discovered 5 suspicious men appeared, 3 of whom claimed to be members of the triad. A 15-year-old boy was slapped in the palm of his hand.

The police officers stepped forward to subdue the men, during which the two men fled.

Three men aged between 15 and 22 were arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and claiming to be members of a triad society. They are now being detained for investigation.

The 15-year-old boy suffered facial injuries and was consciously sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.

After investigation, the police confirmed that one of the arrested boys was the victim's classmates. It is believed that they had disputes over trivial matters in the school.

It is reported that the Form 4 male student is studying at Kwai Chung No. 1 Middle School and has a triad background.

The police emphasized that they have adopted a zero tolerance attitude towards school bullying and underworld infiltration into schools.
