The Chief Executive Carrie Lam recently announced the latest policy address. The Secretary for Labour and Welfare Law Chi-kwong hosted a press conference on the "Policy Address" today (27) to explain the policy arrangements of relevant departments.
Luo Zhiguang emphasized that he expects to complete the legislative work for a uniform 17-day statutory holiday in this legislative year.
As for the legislative progress on the abolition of the hedging MPF, he explained that the legislation is complicated, and the bureau is simplifying the plan, hoping to submit it to the Legislative Council by the end of next year and complete it by July 2022.
