She didn't want to sell her property and therefore didn't even have money for the health insurance: A million dollar woman from the Fürstenfeldbruck district now has to repay her Hartz IV amounts.
A woman from the
Fürstenfeldbruck
district
received Hartz IV - although she had more than enough money.
Their

were worth well over a million euros.
Now she has to pay back - and on parole in
prison
.
Everything from the region is now also available in our new, regular FFB newsletter.
Munich - Her fortune is worth over a million euros, but a 63-year-old from the Fürstenfeldbruck district cashed
Hartz IV
for years
.
That is why she was on
trial
in
Landsberg
on Tuesday
.
The unemployed retail clerk apparently owns a house and seven pieces of land - partly building land, partly arable land - with a total value of well over
a million euros
.
She withheld this from the job center when she applied for Hartz IV in 2011.
She also stated that she paid rent for an apartment in the Landsberg district, in which she actually lived free of charge, the "landlord" was her partner.
The 63-year-old believed
she was
entitled to
state money
after working for a supermarket chain for 35 years.
Apparently she was hoarding cash at home - the police later found
15,000 euros
during a search
.
Today the woman survives with a small farm, low lease income and the support of her brother.
She has to sell part of her property
There is
no longer enough money
for
health insurance
.
Nevertheless, the woman did not want to part with
the
property
.
According to her defense attorney, she was afraid that she would not be adequately cared for later.
In addition, she could not do it to her father to sell family property - even when he was dead.
Now the woman has to pay back around 40,000 euros to the job center
and will not be able to avoid selling part of her property.
"Then you will be liquid again and can take out health insurance again," advised judge Katrin Prechtel of the defendants.
The verdict: One year and four months probation.
