Bring warmth into the living room and chase away solitude for a few minutes with beautiful Advent music: this is what the Pfaffenwinkel music school and the Schongau town band are committed to.

Schongau

- You present a musical Advent calendar and serenade for the Advent Sundays on the virtual stage.

It starts on Sunday, November 29th, with the first serenade by the town band.

“We want to use it to spread warmth in the winter pre-Christmas season and delight our audience, who this year didn't have the opportunity to see us live,” explains conductor Andreas Immler.

Looking ahead, the videos of the trombone and brass quintet were recorded in October.

And they turned out wonderful: at the beginning and at the end of every recording there is a contemplative piece of music, in between Tony Loderer reads a Christmas story.

All music lovers can look forward to a very special serenade by the Schongau town band every Sunday in Advent and on Christmas Eve.

From December 1st, the Pfaffenwinkel music school will also open a door on its musical Advent calendar every day.

"We want to dispel the loneliness that is currently afflicting the older generation for a few minutes," explains music school director Marcus Graf.

The short videos of various teachers and students, the wind class and early education can be called up and sent at any time after publication.

"For example, grandparents have the opportunity to see their grandchildren play music."

But these videos are also recommended to all other music enthusiasts, who find a few minutes of distraction and joy in the Advent season good.

The repertoire includes Advent songs, winter songs, alpine tunes, songs for St. Nicholas and of course - towards the end - Christmas carols.

"It is important to us to support people in these difficult times with a musical greeting that comes from the heart", emphasize Andreas Immler and Marcus Graf.

Or, as it says in a text by Tony Loderer: "It is the Liab untranand that can really warm us".

The videos of

the Stadtkapelle Schongau and the music school Pfaffenwinkel are available on their respective channels on YouTube.

Also on the websites www.musikschule-pfaffenwinkel.de and www.stadtkapelle-schongau.de as well as on the social networks Facebook and Instagram.
