At midnight today (27th), a wounding case occurred in a foot bath shop at 45 Caine Road, Central.
At the time of the incident, two male staff members in the foot bath shop were drinking and chatting. The two later suspected a dispute over money. One of them held a glass bottle and attacked a colleague before fled the scene.
The 39-year-old man named Liao suffered neck and mouth injuries and stayed in the foot bath shop waiting for an ambulance.
Police officers arrived at the scene and intercepted the assailant nearby, but they did not find it.
It is understood that both of them are drunk.
After preliminary investigation, the police classified the case as a wounding case and handed it over to the eighth team of the Central Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
As of 7:30 am, police officers arrested a 37-year-old man surnamed Lin in Chaiwan District for wounding. He is currently being detained for investigation.
