It was the weekend of October 3 that Switzerland sank into the pandemic a second time.
That evening, under an almost full moon, hundreds of revelers flock to the old town of Delémont.
At Shannon's Pub, they are not far from 800 to follow one another, in an overheated atmosphere: a lot of alcohol, no masks and very little social distance.
A godsend for the coronavirus, which is spreading from bar to bar.
After this night of celebration, the canton of Jura will have to place a thousand people in quarantine and will see the epidemic explode on its soil, going from 1 to more than 100 cases per day at the end of October.
At the same time, infectious outbreaks are breaking out all over Switzerland, in companies, weddings, choirs or sports clubs.
Hailed unanimously for its mastery of the first wave, the country is today one of the most infected in the world.
To the point of becoming an anti-model in the management of the pandemic.
