The Manufacturers Association held the 42nd presidential election today (27th). The current first vice president Shi Lide was unanimously elected as the new president without competition, replacing the current president Wu Hongbin. He will formally take office on January 1 next year.

Xu Jinhui, the second vice president of the manufacturer association and chairman of the manufacturer’s exhibition service Co., Ltd., said that it is planning to prohibit employees from eating and drinking on the premises, and to set up a rapid virus test site for employees to be tested every 7 days to ensure safety.
He also pointed out that if the epidemic worsens and exhibitors withdraw their rents, they plan to refund 80% of the rent to exhibitors for protection, but there is no final decision yet.

Speaking of the epidemic, Shi Lide hopes to "clear" individual cases as soon as possible. Wu Hongbin said that he has always hoped that the government can introduce a health code as soon as possible. He agrees that it is difficult to implement mandatory testing for all people because Hong Kong is an export-oriented economy and it is difficult to "close the city." Anti-epidemic.
The second round of the government’s job-guarantee program will end at the end of the month. Wu Hongbin believes that the government should continue to help companies in need. For example, the policy address proposes to allocate 600 million yuan to the tourism industry that is in dire straits.
Shi Lide, who will formally take office as the president on January 1 next year, said that he is both happy and nervous about taking over as the president. He believes that there will be more new directors in this session of the board of directors, which he believes will bring a new atmosphere.
He also hopes that he can provide suggestions for the business community to make good use of the opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative, and plans to visit more countries along the Belt and Road Initiative in the coming year.
Wu Hongbin also said that the current session of the president has passed the baton smoothly, and Shi Lide's unanimous election has shown his high ability.
