Many cannot be with their families this year. This is why these Thanksgiving episodes of "Friends" will serve to make this date a little sweeter.

"Friends" is back with a special 0:44

(CNN) -

Friends on "Friends" always made Thanksgiving better.

This year it's nice to see the show's Thanksgiving specials again more than ever.

For ten seasons, "Friends" viewers joined in the tradition along with Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Ross and Chandler as they became their own family.

They cooked, they ate, they fought, they invited some famous actors and they always had some shenanigans.

Since I miss my family and real friends on this date and needed to laugh, I went back to all the Thanksgiving specials on "Friends."

The marathon made the 2020 disaster a little sweeter.

Here are some highlights:

Season 1, Episode 9 - "The One Where the Underdog Got Away"

Monica puts on a dramatic performance after the group stays outside her apartment.

As her voice grows higher and higher, Chandler tells her, "Okay Monica, now only dogs can hear you."

The food is burned, Chandler hates Thanksgiving, but it's the first time they've all spent it together.

Season 2, Episode 8 - "The One With The List"

Ross makes a list of Rachel and Julie: their pros and cons.

Of course Rachel finds the list.

Season 3, Episode 9 - "The One with the Soccer Ball"

Losers walk.

Losers talk.

The competitiveness of the Geller brothers comes to light for the whole group.

Season 4, Episode 8 - "The One with Chandler in a Box"

When Chandler and Joey fall in love with the same girl, Chandler breaks Joey's heart.

She decides to show her love for Joey by sitting in a box for six hours.

Season 5, Episode 8 - "The One With Every Thanksgiving Day"

It's worth it just for Monica and Rachel in their youth.

Also, because of Chandler's hair in the '80s.

Season 6, Episode 9 - "The One Where Ross Got High"

A chapter of confessions: Monica slaps on Ross for smoking marijuana and stealing Playboy magazines.

Season 7, Episode 8 - "The One Where Chandler Doesn't Like Dogs"

Chandler doesn't like Thanksgiving and guess who doesn't like dogs either?

Season 8, Episode 9 - "The One with the Rumor"

There are rumors about Rachel, a reunion of friends from high school and… Brad Pitt brings cake.

Season 9, Episode 8 - "The One With Rachel's Other Sister"

Rachel's sister Amy (Christina Applegate) shows up and brings a lot of drama with her.

Season 10, Episode 8 - "The One with Belated Thanksgiving"

Chandler and Monica get the best news.

"Friends" is currently airing on HBO Max, which like CNN is part of WarnerMedia.
