Kindergartens and grades 1-2 will be able to study during the Hanukkah days as part of the holiday school.
Ministers of Education and Finance and Chairman of the local government agreed today (Friday) on the implementation of the program for five days.
The cost of participation of parents in these settings will be determined by the socio-economic status of residence, when clusters 1 to 4 shall not be required to pay at all; Threads 5 to 7 They will pay NIS 20 per day of activity; and clusters 8 to 10 will pay NIS 30 for a day of activity.

"Hundreds of thousands of children will continue their school routines during the upcoming Hanukkah holiday. This is important news for the students, who need an educational and social continuum, and for their parents," said Education Minister Yoav Galant.
"Running the holiday schools during the Hanukkah period is another decision that puts the education system at the top of national priorities, as required and expected."

The Minister of Finance, Israel Katz, also welcomed the conclusion.
"In light of the prolonged closure, we have allocated a special budget for the operation of the 'holiday schools,' which will operate during the Hanukkah holiday, so that the parents of hundreds of thousands of children can go to work," Katz said.
Local government chairman Haim Bibbs joined in, expressing hope that "the holiday schools will allow children and parents a routine and sanity after months of distance learning and closures," clarifying that "local authorities will be ready to run the program during the Hanukkah holiday."
