Along with the mall opening pilot, all markets across the country were opened to the public today (Friday), under stringent guidelines to prevent the spread of the corona plague.

Because the markets are open, the health danger of opening them is smaller, and it was decided to open them all at once, without operating a limited number of markets as a pilot.

The chairman of the Mahane Yehuda Market Merchants' Committee in Jerusalem, Tali Friedman, welcomed this and called on Israelis to visit the stalls. "We lived and lived and arrived at this time," said Friedman. We know how to offer. "

Finance Minister Israel Katz, who toured the place with Mayor Moshe Leon, announced that the Ministry of Finance will allocate a budget of ten million shekels to participate in the cost of protecting the markets.

"I see great importance in market activity during this period, for the benefit of market traders and customers, so I decided to formulate a special plan, in collaboration with local authorities and market managements, to allow all markets to properly prepare for activity until the end of the corona crisis," Katz said.

"We will closely examine the needs and provide the appropriate response to each of the markets."

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Deputy Director General Prof. Itamar Grotto visited the Rosh HaAyin market, along with Transport Minister Miri Regev. Edelstein welcomed the opening of the mall markets - "good news", as he put it. On the guidelines.

Regev also welcomed the markets' official return to activity.

"I visited the morning market and saw the light in the eyes of the merchants and the joy among the citizens who came to enjoy fresh and quality goods. I was happy to see people wearing masks and following the rules.
